Introduction

Welcome to Breaking Binaries.

We are a group of students reading for a degree in Media & Communications.

We have been exposed to gender stereotypes our entire lives and it has shaped the way we think and feel.

Whether you are watching a film, tuning in to the radio, scrolling through your socials, or turning the pages of a magazine, you have a good chance of coming across stereotypes that perpetuate gender discrimination.

Our sole purpose is to acknowledge that you can be part of the establishment that redefines the system. We all merely think of ourselves as a society of onlookers, holding on to hope that the world will change eventually. We eagerly wait for systematic changes until there is nothing else left to hope for.

Our mission is to advocate change, we are all victims of gender injustice and clutching onto hope is not enough.
